Many clients want ready access to HR advice when they have a concern or question. As a client of the firm, you have the option of on-going HR support to seek advice early, when a problem can be dealt with over the phone, or via email.
Our HR Support services combine organisation objectives and human resource planning, training and management. The overall approach is to find ways to align legal and other arrangements for the benefit of the client and their employees. The summarised list of services is below:
- Recruitment and Induction programs
HR Support does not replace the role of employment agencies, rather we will assess your recruitment practices for effectiveness. Support can include, but is not limited to defining roles for advertising, assisting with the interview process, or liaising with third parties.
We can review your current induction procedures, draft or update an induction manual, or recommend training, depending on your industrys’ needs.
- Employment Contracts and Policy
We can provide you with templates or assist you prepare employment contracts or agreements.
A formal review of all written HR policies and procedures is available. A confidential report will include recommendations for changes to existing policies or identify additional policies that should be included. Amending or writing policy is an additional service available for all clients.
Usually a review of an organisation's human resource policies and procedures will identify areas that need to be addressed to minimise potential problems. This process starts by meeting with the person who has primary responsibility for HR, focusing on areas of concern.
Terminating an employee is often a stressful task, and if not performed correctly, may result in an unfair dismissal claim. Our HR Manager can walk you through the process, to minimise the risk of such claims.

Workforce & Succession Planning
We can assist your succession planning by assessing and identifying suitable individuals inside your organisation, or the type of person(s) to be brought into the organisation. Internally we will help you identify your star performers and assist you implement programs to retain these employees, e.g. through management development programs.
Performance Development
Performance development is usually a planned system for continuously improving the performance of people in an organisation. It is a way of defining work goals and standards, reviewing performance against these standards, actively managing levels of performance, and maximising learning and development.
Change Processes & Communication Audits
Change management is largely about addressing the “human side” when introducing new initiatives or change generally. HR Support will open the communication channels and support leadership within the organisation to minimise resulting “people issues”.
Communication audits usually involve staff consultation and/or employee focus group discussions. Communication outcomes may include new employee inductions, employee newsletter, policy or procedure changes, or clarifying roles and responsibilities.
